Job Overview 

Entry-level security monitoring role responsible for watching dashboards, triaging alerts, validating true positives, and escalating issues to Tier 2. Maintains clean intake logs, performs basic SIEM investigations (Sentinel/CrowdStrike), understands core alert types and network fundamentals, and follows strong communication and ticketing practices. Ideal certifications include Security+, SC-900, CCFA, and optionally ITIL Foundation. 

This is a hybrid position, with 3 days per week in our Nashua, NH headquarters depending on location.

Responsibilities 

  • Security monitoring & log review- Basic SIEM (Microsoft Sentinel / CrowdStrike) 

  • Understanding of alert types & network basics 

  • Communication & ticketing discipline 

  • Monitor dashboards (“eyes on glass”) 

  • Perform initial triage of alerts/requests & basic investigations 

  • Validate alerts; reduce false positives 

  • Escalate valid alerts to Tier 2 

  • Maintain logs for reporting 

  • Basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, ports, protocols, firewalls) 

  • Strong documentation and ticket-handling discipline 

  • Ability to identify false positives and escalate true positives 

Requirements  

  • 0–2 years in IT/security support roles (helpdesk, NOC, desktop support, junior analyst) or Internship or lab experience with SIEM tools and basic security concepts. 

     

Eligibility Requirements 

  • This role is open to US Citizens or permanent residents authorized to work in the United States. Rightworks LLC is unable to offer visa sponsorship.

  • Relocation will not be offered for this position. 

Compensation 

Our Compensation range for this role ranges from $65,000 to $85,000 annually, and is determined based on factors such as relevant experience, skills, and internal equity.
