Job Overview
The Senior Events and Partner Marketing Manager will be responsible for helping to grow our partnership, community, and events marketing programs. Reporting to the Senior Director of Events, Community and Partnerships, this role requires a blend of partnership marketing expertise and event know-how to help create a comprehensive presence for Rightworks. This role is responsible for both building and managing strategic partnerships, as well as planning and executing events to drive business growth, lead generation, and customer engagement.
This role is also responsible for contributing to our events strategy, managing a team of event coordinators and managers, coordinating with a range of external stakeholders. They will work with an ecosystem of partners to execute marketing initiatives that have a direct impact on our revenue. The Sr. Events and Partner Marketing Manager must be comfortable overseeing the development of traditional in-person events, digital-first programs, as well as hybrid events. This role bridges the gap between internal teams and external partners, requiring strong communication, negotiation, and project management skills.
Responsibilities
Partner Marketing Leadership
In partnership with the business development team and partner marketing manager, support strategic partnerships that align with the company's goals.
Work with cross-functional stakeholders to create, deploy and report on co-marketing initiatives with partners to drive community engagement, build brand awareness, and enable lead generation
Oversee deliverables related to execution of partnership agreements.
Build and maintain strong relationships with partners.
Collaborate with partner marketing manager to monitor and evaluate success; analyze performance through lead data, make recommendations on tactics as needed to maximize ROI.
Support achievement of partner goals, aligning with business development to set objectives with partners.
Event Management Leadership
Support the Sr. Director in developing an events strategy that reflects our core priorities and differentiates our brands in the market
Manage event staff to ensure each program is high quality and achieves strategic impact.
Plan, execute, and own a wide range of in-person events, including small- and large-scale industry conferences as well as bespoke activations and proprietary events.
Administer contracts and invoices with external vendors and procurement team
Maintain and manage a network of vendor partners to assist with various aspects of event management, including venue sourcing, production, registration, branding, and onsite logistics.
Ensure events are on track, benchmarks met, roadblocks addressed, and execution is on time
Create, manage and oversee the continuum of event marketing, including creation of promotional schedule, liaising with creative team for advertising, develop in-event materials, and advance media relations with brand and communications team.
Work closely with sales, marketing, customer success, and product teams to ensure alignment and successful implementation of event initiatives.
Track, report and analyze event ROI and key performance indicators (KPIs); identify areas for improvement and recommend ways to optimize results.
Support ongoing communications internally with event strategies, wins, upcoming events, etc, including follow up with sales pre- and post events.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or hospitality
7-10 years’ experience in B2B marketing, depth of experience in events and partnerships.
Excellent written and verbal communication and research skills, and intellectual curiosity
Grace-under-pressure, motivated, enthusiastic, flexible, able to work independently and as part of a team
Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with a track record of delivering results on time and within budget
Detail-oriented and deadline-driven, with strong project coordination and prioritization skills
Knowledge of tools including Cvent, Salesforce, Pardot, GlobalMeet, Google Analytics and Wrike are a plus
Proficiency with MS Office Suite
Ability to travel up to 30-40% of the time. Including occasional evenings or weekends
