Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior Account Executive to lead new customer acquisition within the accounting and tax firm vertical. This role is designed for a consultative, business-oriented seller who excels at engaging firm leadership on growth strategy, technology modernization, security, and operational scalability.

This is an opportunity to own a territory as a business, collaborate with experienced pre- and post-sales partners, and influence how professional services firms modernize and scale securely.

Responsibilities
  • Own and execute a strategic territory plan, treating the territory as a longterm business with accountability for pipeline health, deal progression, and sustained growth.
  • Proactively build a book of business through disciplined outbound prospecting, targeted account identification, and strategic outreach to accounting and tax firms within the territory.
  • Generate and qualify new opportunities through a combination of outbound engagement, industry events, professional associations, referrals, and relationship-based selling.
  • Engage firm owners, managing partners, and IT leaders in executive-level conversations to uncover firm-wide strategic, operational, and growth-related needs.
  • Position technology, hosting, security, and managed solutions as part of a broader modernization and scalability strategy for professional services firms.
  • Manage complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles from initial discovery through close, balancing urgency with thoughtful deal qualification.
  • Develop deep market and customer knowledge to establish credibility as a trusted advisor within the accounting and tax community.
  • Represent the company at industry events, tradeshows, and regional associations to build brand presence and expand network reach.
  • Maintain accurate forecasts, opportunity management, and pipeline reporting within CRM tools.
Consistently meet or exceed annual sales targets through a focus on high-quality opportunity creation and value-based selling.

Requirements
  • 5+ years of successful B2B sales experience, preferably in technology, cloud, security, compliance, or managed services.
  • Proven ability to manage complex sales cycles and close new-logo business.
  • Experience selling into accounting, tax, or professional services firms highly preferred.
  • Strong executive-level consultative selling and discovery skills.
  • Strategic territory and pipeline management capabilities.
  • Ability to navigate multiple stakeholders and influence senior decision-makers.
  • Strong business acumen and value-based selling approach.
  • Willingness to travel for key events and customer engagements.
  • Self-directed, results-oriented, and comfortable operating with autonomy.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools and forecast management.

Eligibility Requirements

  • This role is open to US Citizens or permanent residents authorized to work in the United States. Rightworks LLC is unable to offer visa sponsorship.
  • Due to specific state regulations, we are unable to accept applications from residents of California, Hawaii, or Alaska.
