Job Overview
Rightworks is seeking a Director, Product Marketing — Accounting Firms to lead product marketing strategy for solutions built specifically for accounting firms.
This role will shape how Rightworks brings its platform and solutions to market for the accounting profession and will play a critical role in connecting product strategy, market insight, and revenue growth. The Director will drive positioning, messaging, pricing and packaging, and go-to-market strategy for products that help accounting firms securely run their practices and support the small businesses they serve. This role requires a deep understanding of accounting firm workflows, the accounting technology ecosystem, and the ability to translate complex technology into clear business value. You will be a subject matter expert on the small business market (experience in the Accounting & Tax industries a plus), and someone who thrives as a strategic advisor to your stakeholders and the rest of the company. The role is highly visible externally and will serve as a thought leader, representing the company through marketing programs such as webinars, events, and partner activities. You will have the depth of technical understanding necessary to map technologies and product functionality to the market’s needs and lead the creation of compelling value propositions that drive positioning and messaging.
Reporting to the Director of Product Marketing, this role partners closely with Product, Sales, Partnerships, Customer Success, and Growth Marketing teams to accelerate product adoption, strengthen competitive differentiation, and drive pipeline and revenue growth. This person will own the strategic planning and execution of new product, feature(s), and functionality launches, as well as product positioning, messaging, and sales enablement.
This is a hybrid position with the potential to work up to 3 days per week at our Nashua, NH headquarters, depending on location.
Responsibilities
Develop deep expertise in the accounting firm market, including firm leadership roles, workflows, and technology needs.
Conduct market, customer, and competitive research to inform product strategy and marketing execution.
Define and evolve product positioning, messaging, and value propositions across accounting firm segments and buyer personas.
Lead go-to-market strategy for new products, features, and solutions, including launch planning, packaging, pricing, and enablement.
Work across the organization to develop valuable product insights from customer feedback and recommendations.
Partner with Product Management to incorporate customer feedback, market insights, and competitive intelligence into product roadmaps.
Equip Sales and Partner teams with the tools and messaging needed to win in the market, including sales playbooks, product training, and competitive battlecards.
Partner with Marketing teams to ensure consistent messaging across campaigns, content, and demand generation programs.
Work closely with the Growth Marketing team to translate product positioning into campaigns that drive MQLs, pipeline, and bookings.
Document and continuously refine the end-to-end customer journey to ensure alignment across marketing, sales, and customer success.
Lead and mentor a team of product marketers while establishing clear goals, processes, and accountability for deliverables.
Collaborate closely with leaders across Marketing, Product, Sales, and Customer Success to ensure alignment around market strategy, product differentiation, and revenue growth.
Requirements
7+ years of B2B technology product marketing experience, including experience leading or mentoring product marketing teams.
Experience in SaaS, cloud platforms, or managed technology solutions.
Strong ability to translate complex technical capabilities into clear customer value and differentiated messaging.
Demonstrated success launching products and executing go-to-market strategies.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
Excellent communication and storytelling skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
Highly organized and able to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
Experience marketing technology solutions to accounting firms or the accounting technology ecosystem.
Familiarity with accounting firm workflows and technology stacks.
Experience working with or marketing solutions integrated with platforms such as QuickBooks, CCH, Thomson Reuters, Wolters Kluwer, Karbon, or Canopy.
Excellent executive communication and presentation skills
Experience in a high-growth, private equity-backed, or performance-driven SaaS environment preferred
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred

Relocation will not be offered for this position.
Compensation
Our Compensation range for this role is $175,000 to $230,000 annually and is determined by factors such as relevant experience, skills, and internal equity.
