Job Overview

Rightworks is a growing software company serving the accounting industry and is looking for a highly motivated Software Engineer in Test (SDET) to add to its product team.  

In this position, you will help lead and mentor a talented team of Cloud Engineers, Quality Engineers, and SDETs, building modern quality automation solutions guaranteeing the reliability of Right Networks software products. This is a hybrid position, with 3 days per week in our Nashua, NH headquarters.  


 

Responsibilities 

  • You will be responsible for supporting agile teams in the creation of user stories by refining acceptance criteria and creating test plans. Your experience with our tools, systems, and software makes you a key partner in helping the team define acceptance completely 

  • You will be responsible for setting up, maintain and performing test automation frameworks in C#, Dotnet. 

  • You will work with the DevOps team to get automated tests integrated into Azure DevOps pipelines. 

  • You will investigate customer problems referred to you by the technical support team, testing bugs and adding automated code coverage for regression testing. 

  • You build and refine test reports to teams for actions, advocating for constant quality improvement 

  • You will be responsible for building out of documentation on test frameworks and test cases, as well as refining and improving test coverage 

  • You will be an effective communicator, helping the teams understand defects and definition, helping leadership understand overall quality, and helping product leaders anticipate complexities they may not have thought of 

  • You will be reviewing, designing, authoring, and executing automated tests building up a suite of regression tests to validate the sprint-to-sprint quality of our systems 



Requirements  

  • Associates degree, certification, or bootcamp completion in fields related to our products, or relevant job experience 

  • 1-3 years of quality engineering, analysis, and automated test development using a object oriented language. 

  • Experience in xUnit, C#, Dotnet Core, JMeter, Azure DevOps Pipelines  

  • Experience in writing and executing formal test plans 

  • Ability to work with a team to understand, document, and become an expert in product specific use cases and test cases 

  • Ability to design and lead adversarial, load, performance, or BDD testing frameworks 

  • Experience testing Right Networks or similar software 

  • A keen attention to detail and a motivation to relentlessly drive behavior to full definition 

  • Ability to design/implement/run automated tests supporting test cases 

  • Ability to manage and support a group of quality engineers and analysts, making changes as necessary to improve system quality

  • This role is open to US Citizens or permanent residents authorized to work in the United States. Rightworks LLC is unable to offer visa sponsorship.

  • Relocation will not be offered for this position. 



Compensation

Our Compensation range for this role ranges from $80,000 to $90,000 annually, and is determined based on factors such as relevant experience, skills, and internal equity.
