Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Billing Team Lead to oversee and manage our billing operations. This role is responsible for supervising the billing phone support team, handling partner and product billing, ensuring timely collections, and supporting customer communications. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to develop ad hoc reporting as needed.
This is a remote position.
Responsibilities:
Schedule and supervise the billing phone support team to ensure efficient and accurate customer assistance.
Assist in customer communication related to billing inquiries, disputes, and resolution.
Oversee case management (Billing Queue/Pending).
Manage Call/Case escalations, ensuring timely resolution and customer satisfaction.
Answer team questions and provide helpful resources.
Proactively manage outstanding collections (all entities) and work with billing team and customers to resolve payment delays.
Develop ad hoc reports to support billing operations and improve process efficiency, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
Conduct quarterly call/performance evaluations for phone reps to provide constructive feedback for growth and improvement.
Provide regular team performance updates and key metrics to the Senior Billing Manager.
Manage and oversee partner and product billing operations.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend efficiency-enhancing changes.
Support department growth through additional responsibilities as needed.
Requirements:

Previous experience in billing, accounts receivable, or finance-related roles preferred.
Familiarity with billing systems and basic financial reporting. Experience with PowerBI, QB Enterprise, and QBO is a plus.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and streamline billing processes.
Strong analytical skills to identify challenges, implement solutions, and drive continuous improvement.
